I really just wanted to mindlessly draw to someone holding my hand and that's exactly what I got!! Though, for more inexperienced artists, please take notes and watch this many times, there is a lot of good information here :)

This course was great and informative for following the process from idea to finished character render. It did get a little slow in the middle because he colored each character-- but they are all the same really, just different skin or hair tones. That could have been sped up, instead of being 2hrs, as he wasn't doing anything new. It was the same process on every character. But, it's still informative to watch. Personally, I got the most out of the gesture drawing, rough sketch and clean-up. That was gold. The only thing I didn't like-- and had nothing to do with the artist-- was the AI voice dubbing. It kept cutting off sentences, confusing genders, and had weird sentence structure flows. It made some parts hard to follow, for what the point he was making or advice he was giving. I'd much rather have listened to the artist's actual voice and just read English captions.

I cant believe hot much i learned and how much knowledge i gained from this. After many years of struggling it all finally starts to click. Its simple, easy to follow, full of helpful tips, it makes sense, it helps you explore things on your own. I watched several courses and followed several tutorials, and this finally helped me fill the lack of knowledge i still find myself having. Sometimes maybe too fast and I felt like we’re rushing, sometimes the camera engle is not the best, but overall the best course for understanding the fundaments that Ive ever watched. Thank you for this masterclass.

This course shows how important and easy is to make a storyboard, shows the process step by step that anyone can understand. I like it and trying to do my own storyboards with different shots and emotions. It was actually cool that there are more emotion shown in this course not only one. I enjoyed it!

I wish I had him as an art teacher in High school! He is soo simple, and my drawing has improved so much! I have never been able to draw side profiles. After watching his explanations I con now draw them no issues!

This is a great course for beginner/intermediate students. Her method of teaching is very engaging and easy to follow along with. I feel like i have learned a lot already, even halfway through the course.

I thought that this course wouldn’t teach me much, as I have been doing digital art for a few years. But I loved learning Erika’s techniques, especially how she does her lines. This is perfect for a beginner, but even those who think they know a thing or two can benefit. While I did skip some of the videos, the ones I did watch taught me many things. Erika is a great teacher, I 100% would recommend this course.

Coming from acrylic painting, it has been baffling to me how to go from a coloured in sketch to art, and Erika demystified so much for me. The explanation and example of how to use layers masks and clipping masks, colouring lines, using layer modes for lighting effects… I feel like my digital creativity has been unlocked.

The teacher has very clear simplified guidelines how to draw human body. I think this course is in between figure and anatomy drawing. You don't learn how to draw every muscle but give you very good guidelines how to draw a person also in dynamic poses. The lessons are very good structured and teacher explains the things very clearly. Because the human body is so complex this course suited me very well and is very suitable for (absolute) beginners.

I came in with an early-intermediate knowledge of Photoshop and still learned a ton of tips and tricks about layers, blend modes, masks - and more importantly, how to use them to get great effects. I think this is the happiest I've been with a piece of art in a very long time. Thank you!

Very helpful course! Fun exercises, good examples, clear creative process. It’s easy to understand, and you can follow along with the character you’re creating! Amazing experience. :)

I liked the simplicity to show and teach, which make me understood better what I haven't understood before. Therefore the exercises were easier to follow and do. Highly recommended for beginners or people who wants to review basics in a solid way.

Genuinely such a great course. I've been dabbling in graphic design for 5 years and this was a really great overview, especially as I also lean towards text-centric designs. The energy was so motivating and encouraging, one of my favorite courses on here so far.

David Perez was a great instructor. I followed along with pencil/paper; however, it worked great for me as I was able to draw his examples several times to practice and follow the course. The homework was helpful. Great course!

I'm glad I chose to start at the basics even though I have some experience. Mark's Season 1 gave me new skills/techniques that I hadn't learned... and it also gave me some confidence to jump back into my creativity. Then I jumped into Season 2 and just dove in.
