This course was great and informative for following the process from idea to finished character render. It did get a little slow in the middle because he colored each character-- but they are all the same really, just different skin or hair tones. That could have been sped up, instead of being 2hrs, as he wasn't doing anything new. It was the same process on every character. But, it's still informative to watch. Personally, I got the most out of the gesture drawing, rough sketch and clean-up. That was gold. The only thing I didn't like-- and had nothing to do with the artist-- was the AI voice dubbing. It kept cutting off sentences, confusing genders, and had weird sentence structure flows. It made some parts hard to follow, for what the point he was making or advice he was giving. I'd much rather have listened to the artist's actual voice and just read English captions.

I cant believe hot much i learned and how much knowledge i gained from this. After many years of struggling it all finally starts to click. Its simple, easy to follow, full of helpful tips, it makes sense, it helps you explore things on your own. I watched several courses and followed several tutorials, and this finally helped me fill the lack of knowledge i still find myself having. Sometimes maybe too fast and I felt like we’re rushing, sometimes the camera engle is not the best, but overall the best course for understanding the fundaments that Ive ever watched. Thank you for this masterclass.

I've drawn in Procreate for years, but it has no manual. This course covers so many powerful features of the software in an easy to follow tutorial. I learnt that there is so much that I was missing out on.

I'm glad I chose to start at the basics even though I have some experience. Mark's Season 1 gave me new skills/techniques that I hadn't learned... and it also gave me some confidence to jump back into my creativity. Then I jumped into Season 2 and just dove in. I love watching the whole process of making an illustration. The most helpfull part for me was drawing bodies using line of movement and coloring to see the whole picture before cleaning it up. I would recommend this course to people who knows the base of body proportion, perspective and color theory. Thanks for this course. I really enjoyed it!

This was a fun, easy to follow course. I like that there are assignments to put everything into practice and that David Perez was engaging and to the point with everything he explains.

I work as a designer and I lost my creative spark for private projects years ago. For the first time in 10 years I spent hours on a piece, finished it and really enjoyed making art just for fun. I was able to let go of my perfectionism and I loved the process, the materials and the outcome. Everything Hannah said about the creative process resonated with me and it felt so easy to do art again. I am so thankful for this course!

David Perez is an excellent teacher. He breaks it down in a way that even the absolute beginner can not just understand, but actually come out designing their own characters, if they pay attention, do the assignments and practice. There's actually plenty in this course that every skill level can learn something from and appreciate. I found David's character design course enlightening, exciting, empowering, fun and rich with aha moments.

For years Ive struggled with anatomy and this course makes a fantastic first introduction to the basics of anatomy. Im very happy with what Ive learned and cant recommend this enough to my peers. Rodgon is really really good as an artist and as a teacher. :)

Asia does a fantastic job of explaining her process and why shy does things the way she does, in the order she does. you can follow along easily and also use parts to refresh your memory if you've previously completed it (or already have significant experience.) i would highly recommend this course for others, regardless of style as you may easily find tips/ideas that could help take your artwork to a new level. This was the first helpful course I've encountered here on 21Draw. While others have provided some good art tips, this was the first to come at it from the perspective of a design brief and provide, what I felt, substantial advice. While I felt the videos a bit slow, I didn't feel like my time was wasted with filler content or long, drawn-out asides or intros. I enjoyed having the creative process broken down, along with being reminded of the client's needs and the limitations of 2D vs 3D and children's media. Even as a hobbyist/freelance artist, more courses as industry-focused as this one would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Mr. Anderson for this fantastic course.

I have just finished this course and I’m blown away! David is a fantastic teacher who managed to cover so much ground in such a short time. This was a chance to re-learn for me, and it has certainly given me a boost.I will definitely be first in line for his next course!

It takes me while to catch on to instruction but this was very easy to follow and the drawings were very "step by step"! He did not skip over anything. One of my top favorite classes!

I wish the process of scetching would be less fast, I'm a total rookie and it was a challenge for me, but I managed to repeat and catch the point. Great tips along drawing process and exercise. i enjoyed this class! Thank you!!

I really liked how everything was so clear and satisfying to watch and do. Obviously you can't just watch the entire course without trying yourself, but every lesson with a new tip or concept about digital drawing made me want to draw more and more. I already was into drawing, so a few things i knew, but this doesn't disqualify how the course was amazing.
