I agree with many of the other reviews, this course is definitely more suited to someone who already knows their way around digital art and Procreate or a similar software. As someone who fits that description and uses Sketchbook Pro, I sure learned a lot! It's a fantastic way to upgrade your lighting and shading skills, and I will definitely be using the techniques Aveline showed going forward. It's really improved my children's book illustrations.

The course is very well explained. The instructor is able to communicate the concepts clearly and shows very well how to use each thing taught in the previous methods to build something new. I also really liked the way he explains the content and interacts playfully with the students.

I really appreciate how every part of the process is packed with insight—almost every comment the artist makes feels like a standalone lesson or practical tip. It’s the kind of course that doesn’t just teach you once, but stays relevant. I can see myself coming back to it again and again whenever I start designing a new character.

I am an intermediate artist and have avoided drawing animals for the longest time because I never understood how to express them. They always turned out very complicated and wonky, without any emotion or "life" in them. "Dry art"...so to say. This course made me fall in love with drawing animals! I never thought I'd be able to express them just as lively as I would a human. With a simple reference image of any animal, I am now able to draw it however I want (of course, more stylized. This is not a course for hyper realistic animals), having confident lines with intent behind each stroke. Heavily inspired and excited to draw more!

I had a big problem transferring my traditional drawings into digital form—my sketches and artworks always seemed very flat. Thanks to Erika’s lessons, I managed to develop a method that completely changed the way I approach digital drawing, and now I truly enjoy it! I can honestly recommend this course to everyone.

It is a very nice, fun, lively, engaging and a knowledgeable (about basics of drawing) course. I am really satisfied as a student. I recommend this course for everyone who don't know how to draw or who want to revise their drawing skills. I'm 47 years old now and I've been struggling with a lot of things. sometimes I got my head around it sometimes it just didn't work. Rodgon's method gave me instant beter drawings. I couldn't believe it myself. All this struggling turned into something that was more clear on how to tackle it. 9 hours and a half is long, but it was completely worth it. And in the end you feel like there is som much more to explore.

I already had a basic understanding of lighting, and this course helped me build on that and see things from a different perspective. I’m very pleased with the results and the progress I made in this course!!😭💕✨
