Erika Zinser Staines, known online as Glimpen, is a visual development artist working in the film and animation industry with companies like Disney, Pixar, Netflix and Hulu.

Erika graduated from Whitman College with a BFA in Fine Art and has worked professionally in film and animation since 2013. She specializes in environment design and color styling.
Her credits include production assistant roles on ‘Monsters University’ and ‘Frozen’ at Disney, artistic assistant work at Disney Toon Studios on ‘Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast’ and ‘Planes,’ and storyboard and concept work for productions including ‘Club de Cuervos’ (Netflix) and ‘Daughters of the Witches’ (Hulu).
Outside film and animation, she has worked as art director, illustrator, and concept artist for international brands including Fendi, Dove, Volkswagen, Puma, PepsiCo, and Saks Fifth Avenue, among others. She is currently Art Director and Production Designer at Cloud10 Studios (woman-owned animation studio), working on ‘The Greatest Gift,‘ an animated series directed by Gary Trousdale.
She is based in Mexico City, and gives talks, workshops, and masterclasses at animation events and art schools. Erika shares content about art, animation, and life as a professional artist with her online community.
