Backgrounds are the foundation of any great composition.\u00a0<\/strong>They provide essential information to enhance your scene, especially if you\u2019re including characters.\u00a0So, let\u2019s dive into it!<\/p>\n

1. Establishing Depth with Layers<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Backgrounds shouldn\u2019t be flat<\/strong>; they\u00a0need depth to create a sense of immersion.<\/strong>\u00a0Start by dividing your background into layers: foreground, middle ground, and background. Use different levels of detail and contrast to differentiate these layers. This technique adds visual interest and draws the viewer deeper into your art.<\/p>\n
